Srinivasan elected IACC Natl Prez, vows to take Indo-US ties to new orbit of growth

Chennai, Nov 24 (UNI) Mr. N.V. Srinivasan, Managing Partner, NVS and Associates,
Advocates and Legal Consultants, has taken over as the National President of the
Indo–American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), even as he assured to work towards
taking the bilateral economic relations of the two countries to new orbit of growrh.
He was elected by the Committee of the IACC, a Chamber statement here today
said.
The Committee also elected Mr. Vasant Subramanyan, a noted IT entrepreneur,
and Dr Lalit Bhasin, Managing Partner, Bhasin and Co. as Vice Presidents.
“I am delighted to take over as the National President of IACC at a significant
trajectory when transformations are taking place in the Indo-US bilateral economic
landscape'', Mr Srinivasan said.
Bold policy initiatives were being unveiled in India to accelerate the development
process and ease of doing business under the able leadership of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi, he said.
He said in the US, President-elect Donald Trump would take over the reins of the
administration shortly, which was expected to herald a new awakening and policy
direction in the US.
Mr Srinivasan said the IACC would continue to work towards forging new frontiers
of growth and co-operation between the two largest and oldest democracies of the
world to take the bilateral economic relations to a new orbit of growth.
''In the process, our organization will endeavour to ferret out newer ideations and
concepts that can accelerate economic ties and will act as a catalyst for bringing
corporations from both countries, particularly small and mid size companies, to
do successful business in every possible economic realm,” Mr. Srinivasan added.
