Sri Lanka looks to benefit from China's Belt & Road Initiative, says Foreign Secretary Colombage

New Delhi, Feb 12 (UNI) Sri Lanka believes it has great potential to be a maritime hub in the Indian Ocean, and the island nation sees China's Belt and Road Initiative would help, Foreign Secretary Admiral Jayanath Colombage said.
"In that, I see the Belt and Road Initiative as a great prospect for Sri Lanka to be more connected to the global supply chain," said Colombage in an interview to China's state-run Xinhua news agency.
Sri Lanka has three deep water ports, which are viewed by Colombage as the country's biggest assets.

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two persons, a freelance Journalist Vivek Raghuvanshi and his associate (Ex-Navy Commander) Ashish Pathak in an on-going investigation of a case related to alleged espionage, the Central probe agency said on Wednesday.
The Central probe agency registered the said case under Section 3 of Official Secret Act r/w Section 120-B of Indian Penal Code on December 9, last year, against an accused on the allegations that the accused was involved in the illegal collection of sensitive information including the minutes details of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) defence projects and their progress, CBI said in a statement.
