Sri Lanka blasts: India is keeping close watch, says Sushma

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) India is keeping a close watch after at least 140 people were killed and more than 500 hospitalised in multiple explosions that hit two Catholic churches in Sri Lankan capital Colombo on Sunday morning as worshipers had gathered in large numbers to attend the Easter services.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said, 'I am in constant touch with Indian High Commissioner in Colombo. We are keeping a close watch on the situation.'

'There is an update from Colombo. There were three bomb blasts in Churches in Colombo, Negombo and Batticaloa,' Ms Swarj said in another tweet.

Indians in distress may contact Indian High Commission in Colombo, the minister said.
