Sri Lanka beat India 1-0 in SAG round match

Guwahati, Feb 6 (UNI) Sri Lanka started their men football campaign at the 12th South Asian Games here today on a winning note, defeating India 1-0.
The solitary goal of the match was scored by the Sri Lankan captain MCM Rinas in the 14th minute of the match, when he curled a free-kick from around 30 yards into the goal.
Though India enjoyed the major share of ball possession and dominated the field, the team was unable to convert the chances into goals.
