Hyderabad, Apr 17 (UNI) A brilliant bowling performance by Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowlers restricted Chennai Super Kings on a score of 132/5 in the IPL match here at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday.
After opting to bat CSK, got a slow but a decent start as the openers Shane Watson (31) and Faf du Plessis (45) shared a 79 runs partnership for the second wicket.
Nadeem got the breakthrough for the home team as he clean bowled Watson.
After, Watson walked to the pavilion, all the eyes were on du Plessis, expecting him to play bigger innings but soon the expectation went in vein as he was caught by Jos Buttler on Vijay Shankar ball.
The South African captain left CSK on 81/2 in 10.2 overs.
Satnd-in-Captain Suresh Raina too couldn't stay on the crease as Rashid Khan successfully trapped him in front of the wicket. Though, Raina immediately took the review but umpire's decision came in SRH's favour.
Suresh Raina (13), Kedar Jadhav (1) and Sam Billings dismissed for a duck off four deliveries as the batsman handed over a catch to Vijay Shankar off a slower delivery. They could only manage to take the score from 97 runs to 101 runs.
