Sr CPI leader Yadagiri Reddy passes away ; CM condoles

Hyderabad, Nov 22 (UNI) Senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader and freedom fighter Gurram Yadagiri Reddy passed away here on Friday.
He was 91.
He had elected as MLA thrice from Ramannapet Assembly constituency in Nalgonda District in United Andhra Pradesh.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has expressed his condolences over the death of Yadagiri Reddy.
In a message, Mr Rao recalled that Yadagiri Reddy won on the CPI ticket from Ramannapet Assembly segment in the combined Nalgonda district for three terms from 1985 to 1994.
He said Yadagiri Reddy was known for his simplicity and was committed to his party’s ideology till the end.
The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
In a message, CPI Telangana Unit Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said the body of Yadagiri will be kept at the party office Makhdoom Bhavan, in the city this evening to enable the party leaders, well-wishers and sympathizers pay their tributes to the former legislator.
CPI Telangana State Council expressed its deep condolence on the sudden demise of Reddy and sympathies to the bereaved family members.
