Sports fraternity lauds essential service providers for putting up fight against COVID-19

New Delhi, Mar 22 (UNI) India's sports fraternity on Sunday lauded the essential services providers for putting up a spirited fighting against Novel Coronavirus, by clapping, sharing messages and posting videos of gratitude on social media.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged the Indians to observe 'Janta Curfew' and express gratitude towards the healthcare workers and other basic service providers.
As the clock struck five on Sunday evening, people in several states came out on their roofs, beating metal plates and blowing conch shells, to express their gratitude to medical professionals, health and sanitation workers.
