Hyderabad, May 19 (UNI) To raise awareness on early detection of eye cancer (Retinoblastoma) in children, L V Prasad Eye institute (LVPEI) organised the second edition of ‘WHITATHON’ Run here on Sunday.
The unique run, being organised to commemorate the World Retinoblastoma awareness week which commenced from May 13, was flagged off by Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh ESL Narasimhan, and Commissioner of Police S Anjani Kumar at the People’s Plaza, Necklace Road.
Speaking before flagging off the run, the Governor said, 'I care for your eye care' is the theme of this laudable initiative launched by LVPEI.
