Special teams constituted to check sale of fake handicrafts

Srinagar, May 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has formed special inspection teams to conduct surprise Inspection checks of handicraft dealers for ensuring selling of genuine Kashmiri art.
An official spokesperson here today said team were constituted by the Enforcement Wing of Quality Control Division, Directorate of Handicrafts.
“The aim of such inspections will be to safeguard the interests of Handicraft artisans of the state and to save the gullible tourists from being cheated by some unscrupulous businessman selling machine made items in the name of Kashmir art,” he said.
