Daniel Angus
New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) Trend-setting Australian law of social media ban for children under 16 is set to fast-forward similar efforts being made in other countries like Singapore, Spain, New Zealand and Malaysia. Several such countries already have in place some modicum of protective restrictions that aims to wean children away from harm's way and other ills considered to be too early and too bad for an impressionable age.
This, besides deleterious impact it has on the young psyche manifesting in inability to concentrate in studies, twisted world views, premature activities not in consonance with their age, exposure to harmful content, cyberbullying, and onset of serious mental health issues that include early age depression, and an altered brain structure.
