Bengaluru, July 11 (UNI) Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar today said he would go by the books and follow the Constitution before taking the next decision on the resignations tendered by 16 Congress-JDS Coalition government MLAs during last one week.
“I have received resignation letters, re-submitted by 10 MLAs and will take action as per rules and I have not given any dates for them to appear before me since I need time to make next move before taking a final decision,” he added.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday after receiving the resignation letters re-submitted by the MLAs, Ramesh Kumar said that the entire process of accepting the re-submitted resignation letters have been video-graphed and it will be submitted to the Supreme Court Registrar General.
