Speaker Birla calls for constructive debate as Lok Sabha BAC meets ahead of Monsoon Session

New Delhi, Jul 19 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday chaired a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, calling on all political parties to ensure constructive deliberations, meaningful participation, and the smooth functioning of the House in the larger public interest, according to Lok Sabha sources.
The meeting, held under the Speaker's chairpersonship a day before the session begins, was attended by representatives of the government and various political parties in the Lok Sabha to discuss the legislative and other business proposed for the session.
According to sources, the Speaker invited representatives of all political parties to present their views on issues of public importance that they wished to be taken up during the session. Members from both the treasury and opposition benches shared their perspectives on the proposed legislative agenda and suggested several matters of national significance for discussion in the House.
