Southwest Monsoon advanced into remaining parts of southwest Arabian Sea

Pune, May 30 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has advanced into remaining parts of southwest Arabian Sea, some parts of west central Arabian Sea, most parts southeast Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep area, most parts of Kerala, Mahe, some parts of south Tamil Nadu, remaining parts of Maldives and Comorin area; some more parts northeast Bay of Bengal, most parts of northeast India including entire Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and most parts of Tripura, Meghalaya and Assam.
Thus, Southwest Monsoon has set in over Kerala, today the 30th May, 2024.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of southeast Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep area and Kerala, some parts of Karnataka. Some more parts of south Tamil Nadu, some parts of Gulf of Manner, and some more parts southwest and central Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of northeast Bay of Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya and some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during next 2- 3 days.

Night temp above normal at isolated places over Gujarat region

Pune, Jan 18 (UNI) Night temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Gujarat region, Assam and Meghalaya, Andaman and Nicobar island; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; at a few places over Uttar
Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa; at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Mahe. These were below normal
(-1.6°C to - 3.0°C) at isolated places over east Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Odisha and near normal over rest part of the country. Today, the lowest minimum temperature of 5.0°C is reported at Bulandshahr (west Uttar Pradesh) over the plains of the country.
