French Visa from India has doubled in the past one year and is still growing, said French Ambassador in India Alexandre Ziegler, adding that at the same time, the number of Indian students studying in France has risen and should reach 7000 by the end of this year, as compared to 4000 two years back.
By the next year, it is expected to reach 10,000, he said.
To draw more Indian students to study in France, around 20 French-Universities are coming to Chennai on Jan 31 to showcase the various opportunities available in France and the easy educational visa. He said that fluency in French was not a requirement and students would get the same opportunities as French students.
