State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr Rajat Kumar said the first Level Randomization of EVMs and VVPATs scheduled in all districts of Telangana on November 11 and 12 and it will be conducted in the presence of recognized Political parties using EVM Tracking software.
A total of 51,529 Ballot Units, 39,763 Control Units and 42,750 VVPATs will be randomized during First Level Randomization Process at District Headquarters, he informed.
The candidates, who have criminal cases against them-either pending cases or cases in which candidates has been convicted, should publish a declaration about the nature of the cases for wide publicity in newspapers with wide circulation in the constituency areas in Format C-1 , at least on three different dates from the day following the last date of withdrawal of candidatures and upto two days before the date of poll, the CEO said.
The political parties –recognised, registered and un-recognised parties which set up candidates with criminal cases either pending cases or cases of past conviction are required to public declaration giving details on their website as well as in TV channels and newspapers have wide circulation in the state. The declaration by the political parties is to be published in Format C-2 and is required to be done atleast on three different dates from the day following the last date of withdrawal of candidatures and upto two days before the date of poll, he informed.
The candidates should also submit a report in Format C 4 about the publication of declaration regarding criminals cases published in newspapers and TV channels with the paper cuttings along with the account of election expenditure to the Returning officer concerned.
The Political parties also should submit a report in Format C5 to the CEO about the publication of declaration regarding criminal cases within 30-days of the completion of elections along with the paper cuttings containing the declaration published by the party, he added.
