Seoul, May 29(UNI) South Korean authorities on Friday closed down more than 200 schools in the country, just days after they re-opened, following a spike in coronavirus cases.
On Wednesday, thousands of students had returned to schools post easing of lockdown restrictions, but just a day later, 79 new cases were recorded, the highest daily figure in two months since April 5, when 81 infections surfaced, BBC reported.
Most of these cases have been linked to a logistics centre outside Seoul.
