Johannesburg, Aug 14 (UNI) South Africa on Wednesday revealed its 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies, slated to take place from August 24 to 28.
The squad, marked by the absence of several senior players, signals a focus on developing new talent within the Proteas’ ranks.
Notable omissions from the squad include cricketing heavyweights Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Tabraiz Shamsi, and David Miller. According to South Africa’s white-ball coach, Rob Walter, these players were unavailable due to injuries, workload management, or commitments to ongoing T20 leagues.
