Soumitra Chatterjee admitted to hospital with chest infection and breathing trouble

Kolkata, Aug 14 (UNI) Veteran thespian Soumitra Chatterjee has been admitted to a private hospital in the city on Wednesday following chest infection and breathing trouble.

The 84-year-old actor has been kept in an ICU after his admission at the Rubi Hospital on EM Bypass. The medics, who treated the Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner actor, said Chatterjee was doing well.

He was admitted around 10 am after he complained of breathing trouble. The midis said that the actor was suffering from the respiratory tract infection and was out of danger.
“He is being treated in an ICU under close supervision,” a statement said.
