Sonowal says Sowa-Rigpa hospital soon in Sikkim

Gangtok, May 21 (UNI) Union Minister for AYUSH inaugurated the National Workshop on Sowa –Rigpa, the Himalayan Science of healing here in the Sikkim capital and announced a dedicated hospital on the Himalayan traditional healing science soon.
Besides Sonowal, Governor of Sikkim Ganga Prasad and Chief Minister PS Tamang also attended with his Cabinet colleagues were also present.
"All of our Eight North Eastern States have been given opportunity to show their strength. I would like to express gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for it. I think Sikkim will never lag behind, instead it will always advance ahead in this century. Traditional medicinal system that Sikim has SR is linked to its unique identity," said Sonowal addressing the workshop organized by the National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, Ministry of AYUSH, Leh, in association with Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Gangtok.

Kolkata, Apr 19 (UNI) An estimated 66.34 percent of 5.6 million electorate exercised their franchise till 3 PM in the first phase election to three Lok Sabha seats in North Bengal with Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri recording 65.54 per cent, 66.23 per cent and 67.28 per cent polling respectively.
