Some govt depts are willfully delaying replies in assembly: Chandrakant Kavlekar

Panaji, Jun 18 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Goa Legislative Assembly Chandrakant Kavlekar on Tuesday alleged that some departments of the state government were intentionally delaying responses to critical questions asked by members of opposition parties.
Addressing a press conference after holding CLP meeting at Assembly complex at Porvorim, near the city, Mr Kavlekar said, "During the business advisory committee meeting, we will request the CM for submission of replies 48 hours before a particular question is called by the Speaker.
"Sometimes in the recent past, we would get the reply just minutes before a question is raised. Some departments are doing it on purpose, to avoid attacks from the opposition," the Congress MLA claimed.
