Software to be developed to account data of retirees  & paramilitary soldiers : Haryana MoS

Chandigarh, Jul 16 (UNI) Haryana Minister of State for Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Om Prakash Yadav said software will be developed to prepare the online data of ex-servicemen and paramilitary soldiers, so that the ex-servicemen can benefit from the schemes related to them.

Stating this while presiding over the review meeting of officers here on Thursday, Mr Yadav said the construction work of Sainik School Rewari should be completed soon, so that the school can be shifted to the new building. He directed the officers to inspect the construction work going on in the Sainik School.

The MoS was apprised that the construction work on the first phase of Sainik School Rewari has been completed at a cost of Rs 1473.83 lakh. In which the construction of administrative blocks, staff quarters, underground exit and relocation of high-tension electricity cable has been done.

It was informed at the meeting that a total amount of Rs 1692.37 lakh has been released for the second phase of construction work of hostel complex and mess block is going on and 60 per cent work has been completed. Apart from this, an amount of Rs 529.55 lakh has been released by the state government for boundary wall, main gate, and check post.

Mr Yadav was informed that there are 521 students in Sainik School Rewari. A grant of Rs 1.59 crore is given on an annual basis by the state government to meet the daily requirements of the school and for scholarships. This includes allowance for food and clothes by the state government for all the students studying in Sainik School who are permanent residents of Haryana.
