Social media channel booked for identifying rape victim in Ganderbal

Srinagar, May 16 (UNI) A Social Media Chanel (SMC) was booked and notice was issued to several reporters for revealing the name of a rape victims of central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, a senior police officer said on Thursday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal said Khalil Ahmad Paswal said a social media channel was booked for disclosing identity of rape victims.
He said notice has also been issued to certain SMC reporters for identifying the victim.
A teenage girl was recently raped in Ganderbal district and the accused has been arrested.

CGFS ration card holders to get 5 kg foodgrains free of cost till Nov

Raipur, Jul 14 (UNI) Chhattisgarh government has decided to distribute 5 kg rice per
person per month from July 2020 to November 2020 on ration cards (except APL category)
issued under the Chhattisgarh Food Security Act, in line with the ration cards issued
under National Food Security Act. Maximum entitlement of total food grains per person /
card per month will be equal to the maximum entitlement of food grains issued under CGFS
and NFSA.

MP to get 53rd district in the form of Bagli

Bhopal, July 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Tuesday that Bagli Tehsil would be carved into a district out of Dewas.
The veteran leader unveiled a statue of former chief minister Kailash Joshi in Hatpiplya and also announced that a Rs 2,540-crore micro-irrigation project of 96,800-hectare capacity and a Rs 241-cr Nal-Jal Yojana for 103 villages will be approved in the near future, it was officially learnt.
