Shimla, Nov 30 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said here on Monday that people should avoid social gathering, as about 80 per cent COVID-19 cases are being attributed to such events.
Addressing the public through a video message, Mr Thakur said the state government's analysis of the recent Novel Coronavirus spike found that around 80 per cent of the new infections were traced back to social events, mainly weddings.
'There have been instances across the state, where a single infected person has spread the virus among 50-60 people,' he added.
