SOA researchers working to develop new drug to fight cancer

Bhubaneswar, June 9:(UNI) Researchers are working to develop new drugs and diagnostic techniques to fight cancer and infectious diseases at Siksha‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University here, a top official said on Friday.
A sum of Rs. 4.54 crore has been sanctioned by the Department of Biotechnology for the purpose, Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA, said.
The focus, he said, was on interdisciplinary research in life sciences and three Principal Investigators and 14 Co-Investigators had been engaged in the investigation.
