Ain Sefra (Algeria), Jan 19 (UNI) For the fifth time in 42 years, snow settled on the sands of Sahara desert in Africa after temperatures dropped below -2C.
According to Daily Mail, pictures of snow blanketing the sand dunes in Algeria's Ain Sefra were taken by photographer Karim Bouchetata on January 17.
Ain Sefra, also known as 'The Gateway to the Desert', is approximately 3,000 feet above sea level with Atlas Mountains surrounding it.
