Sneha sampark launched in Puri to generate interest among students to read books

Puri, Dec 7 (UNI) A unique programme called "Puri Reads and Puri leads" with an aim to make children read more and interact among themselves was launched in this pilgrim town.

This programme Christened as "Sneha Sampark" is being organised jointly by the UNICEF, Bakul foundation and the district administration.
Puri District Collector Balwant Singh launched the programme today which aimed at motivating and generating interest among children in the age group of five to eight to read books.

About three hundred students from various schools of the city would participate in this weekly event every Saturday
from 3 pm to 5 pm at Niladri beach in this month and January 2020.

Organisers expect the programme would boost the reading habit and understanding of children immensely.
