New Delhi, Apr 4 (UNI) With an aim to to introduce a reliable and direct way of making in-kind donations, Online marketplace Snapdeal, today announced the launch of its Sunshine platform. The platform, enables NGOs representing varied causes like education, health, sports, women empowerment, disaster relief and old age care to list products required by them to run their programs, said the company. Addressing these concerns, Potential donors can chose to donate towards causes that they care about, by easily selecting products and making payment online. Donated products are directly shipped to the chosen partner NGO. "Snapdeal is bringing a digital revolution to giving in India. Donors need to invest a lot of time and effort to find the right organisation and the best way to make an impact. The difficulty of identifying the right partner and mode of contribution often dissuades potential donors.’’ said Rajnish Wahi, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Communications in a statement. The company had also associated with movies like Chalk N Duster and Airlift to drive donations. Currently, Snapdeal Sunshine has nine partner organizations including Magic Bus, Akshaya Patra, Care India, Teach For India and HelpAge India among others. Each NGO partner has listed certain products that are required by them for their on-going projects,it added. On being selected and paid for by donors, the products will be directly sent to the chosen partner. Donors will be able to track the progress of delivery on Snapdeal's website. UNI RN NM SB1600
