New Delhi, Jul 9 (UNI) A Delhi Metro train on Red Line was evacuated after its last coach was suddenly filled with smoke on Tuesday morning.
The metro train was en route to Rithala from Ghaziabad and as soon it reached Shahdara, the last coach of the train was suddenly filled with smoke, causing panic among the passengers.
The incident took place around 1130 hrs following which the train was evacuated, a metro official said.
There is no report of any trouble caused to passengers in the incident.
After being evacuated, the train was sent to the depot for examination.
The cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained.
Soon after the train was sent to the depot, metro services resumed on this line, the official added.
