New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Smast Bharatiya Party from Haryana on Wednesday merged into the Congress party here.
Smast Bharatiya Party president Sudesh Aggarwal and his wife Neelam Agarwal joined the grand old party in presence of senior Haryana Congress leader Kiran Choudhry and former State chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and AICC General Secretary Mukul Wasnik.
Addressing a gathering at the AICC headquarters on joining the Congress party, Mr Aggarwal said their party is merging into the grand old party without any terms and conditions.
Welcoming the merger of the Smast Bhartiya Party into the Congress, Ms Choudhry attacked the BJP government and said it was the party of 'Jumla'.
She said Congress president Rahul Gandhi believes that good people should join the grand old party.
Speaking on the occasion, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said if parties having same ideologies fight the elections together then they will win the polls.
Filing of nominations for the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana will start from April 16 and polling would be held on May 12.
