Smart Public Bike Sharing Scheme to be implemented in MP capital

Bhopal, Jun 27 (UNI) With the objective of promoting non-motorised transport as part of Bhopal Smart City Mission, this City of Lakes would become the first city in the country where Smart Public Bike Sharing Scheme will be implemented.
Initially, 50 bicycle stations and 500 smart cycles will be available under the scheme – wherein a person would be able to hire a smart cycle from one station and leave it at another station, an official release said today.
A computer would be fitted in the rear side of the three-gear bicycle, which could be taken out from the docking station through Smart Card. Constant monitoring of cycle will be done through GPS at control room.
