Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 23 2016 10:39AM SL Navy attack Indian fishing boats, damage netsRameswaram, Tamil Nadu Jun 23 (UNI) In yet another vicious attack on Indian fishermen, the Sri Lankan Navy personnel allegedly attacked Indian fishing boats and damaged fishing nets valued several lakhs of rupees in atleast 30 boats near the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL), around midnight last night. “The Navy personnel hurled stones on the fishing boats and snapped the fishing nets and other gears at gun point. They also snatched marine catch from the boats before issuing a stern warning to leave the zone,” said the local fishermen, who returned to Rameswaram fishing jetty, this morning. Though no one was injured in the attack, we have incurred huge loss owing to the attack, the fishermen added.
