SKM starts 'dharna' demanding removal of Union minister Ajay Mishra

Lakhimpur Kheri, Aug 18 (UNI) A three-day 'dharna' of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha started on Thursday at Krishi Mandi Samiti demanding removal of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra 'Teni'.
On the first day of the 'dharna', several farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand reached here to participate in the agitation. Farmer leader Yogendra Yadav said that farmers from 20 states will participate in 'dharna'.
Remembering the four farmers and a journalist killed in Tikunia, Yadav said that innocent farmers were arrested and sent to jail. He said that a demand has also been raised that the arrested farmers should be released.
