Sixth & final member of Chhainu gang held

New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) Delhi Police special cell has nabbed the absconding member of the infamous Irfan alias Chhainu gang after a brief exchange of fire, the police said on Friday.
Asif, the sharp-shooter of the the Chhainu gang was one of the six who were booked under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999) at the Seelampur Police Station, and also carried a reward of Rs 1-lakh on his head, according to a senior police official.
Asif, who evaded arrest since 2009, based on a specific input, was apprehended from Tahirpur area on Thursday night following an exchange of fire by a special cell team of Southern Range led by Inspector Shiv Kumar under the supervision of ACP Attar Singh.
