Six more tested positive, cases rise to 49 in Kangra

Dharamshala, May 23 (UNI) Kangra district with six more positive cases tested on Saturday taking the number of infected to 49.

Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati told UNI that 49 year male from Palampur, 50 year male from Jaisinghpur, 44 year female from Bhawarna Palampur, 48 year male and 70 year female both from

Lambagaon Jaisinghpur and all of them had arrived here from Mumbai on May 18, and were under going institutional quarantine at Radha Swami Sat Sang Bhawan at Parour near Palampur have tested positive.

He said that a 68 year male patient who is admitted, presently at Sari Tanda and had arrived here from Jalandhar has also been tested positive.

The Deputy Commissioner said that all the six positive cases have been shifted to Pri Baijnath except the 70 year old female who was shifted to DCHC Dharamshala.

He further said that there were 40 active cases till date and 13 cases have recovered and sent to their homes. One person died due of COVID-19 in the district.

Only then will we vanquish the virus,” the seasoned politician outlined while addressing the people via Doordarshan.
