Agartala, Aug 8 (UNI) The sudden spike in Covid-19 related death for the past three weeks in Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) hospital and subsequent detection of a major problem in ventilation system at the ICU of Covid unit yesterday has raised several questions that compelled the authority to shift the unit.
According to report, after the death of a youth in Covid unit on August 6 last, the victim's family alleged insufficient oxygen supply and during an inspection of the ventilation system yesterday a major problem in the ventilation system was detected. As many as 36 deaths have been registered in Covid unit by then.
Immediately, the entire Covid unit was shifted along with the patients last night.
