Situation after surgical strikes 'sensitive', armed forces fully ready to face any contingency says IAF chief: Pakistan opens fire in Nowshera, Rajouri and Pallanwala

New Delhi /Jammu, Oct 4 (UNI) Tension raged on the Line of Control and Air Chief Arup Raha described the situation after surgical strikes carried out across the LoC, as “sensitive”, saying things are still live while Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district and Pallanwala oday
Air Chief Marshal Raha said the armed forces were fully prepared to deal with any contingency, including a two front war. He repeatedly declined to field questions on current operations, saying that the situation after surgical strikes is sensitive. However, he downplayed the exercise carried out recently by Pakistan and said it's nature seems to be normal.
He made it clear that Air Force, Army and Navy were ready and capable to deal with any situation.Hours later Pakistan resorted to heavy unprovoked firing in Nowshera sector and, heavy shelling started in Pallanwala sector of Jammu, forcing border residents to migrate to safer destinations.
