Bengaluru, Dec 12 (UNI) The five State assembly election results might have brought some stability to the six-month-old JD(S) and Congress Coalition government in Karnataka but both the Coalition partners may face tough stance in the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
The resurgent, Congress, emboldened with its stupendous success in the just concluded five State assembly elections, may bargain hard with its coalition partner for bigger share of Lok Sabha seats when they sit for seat negotiations.
Among the 28 Lok Sabha seats from Karnataka, the BJP has 16 seats, followed by Congress 10 and the remaining 2 by the JD(S). Except two or three seats, the Congress may find it hard to bargain with the JD(S) to retain its seats in Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagara, Chikkaballapura, Kolara, Tumakuru, Raichur and Chitradurga Lok Sabha seats, as the JD(S) has emerged stronger in the May-2018 Assembly elections, in all these LS Constituencies.
