Sit-in to continue over demand for stadium construction in Guna: Cong MLA

Bhopal, Feb 9 (UNI) Congress legislator Mahendra Singh Sisodia today said the sit-in, being staged by people’s representatives and sports-persons in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district since December 23 last year, would continue until approval is received for sports stadium in Guna.
“The protest is purely apolitical. A bandh has been called in Guna town on February 13 to press the demand. The matter would also be raised in the coming assembly session during Question Hour and through calling attention notice. A sit-in would also be staged in the House,” Mr Sisodia, who is also the convener of the Stadium Nirman Sangharsh Samiti, told reporters here.
“Courtesy parliamentarian Jyotiraditya Scindia’s efforts, land was allotted for stadium in Guna. It is more than two-and-half years since land allocation and groundbreaking ceremony. Even the technical approval has been received,” he said.
