SIT arrests former BSEB Secretary in connection with Toppers scam

Patna,Jul 4 (UNI) Even as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) today arrested Niwash Chandra Tiwary, former secretary of scam-tainted Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Vivek Kumar, son-in-law of one of the scam kingpins Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, continued to dodge the SIT, probing the infamous intermediate examination results muddle in Bihar.
Patna SSP and SIT chief Manu Maharaj, while confirming the arrest of former BSEB secretary, said Tiwary was formally arrested after he failed to give satisfactory replies to questions relating to the topper scam during interrogation.
Tiwary is the second former secretary after Harihar Nath Jha to have been arrested by the SIT in connection with the toppers scam, which rocked the state last month, otherwise infamous for use of unfair means in examinations of Class 10th last year.
