Singreni Thermal Power plant achieves 91.74 pc PLF, stands fifth among nation's 25 power stations

Hyderabad, Aug 22 (UNI) Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) situated near Jaipur at Mancherial district in Telangana state once again proves its mettle at the national level.
In the current financial year between April and July (4 months), Singareni achieved 91.74 per cent PLF (Plant load factor) and stood 5th amongst the Nation’s 25 thermal power stations, state-owned Singareni Collieries company Limited (SCCL) said in a statement here on Thursday.
This is the second time that STPP has stood 5th at National level.
In 2017-18 financial year, it also stood 5th by achieving 91.09 per cent PLF.

In the year 2017 between April and December, in 9 months Singareni achieved 90.18 per cent PLF and stood 4th in the nation.
During the last 4 months (upto July 31) in the financial year, Singareni Thermal power plant produced 3,223 million units of power out of which 3,038 million units was supplied to power grid at Gajwel for the needs of Telangana State.
Thermal power plants which stood in the top 5 positions are Budge Budge thermal power plant (West Bengal) with 96.46 per cent PLF, Thalcheru thermal power plant (NTPC-Orissa) with 96.30 per cent , Santhaldhih thermal power plant (West Bengal) with 94.34 per cent PLF, Sasan thermal power plant (Reliance-Madhya Pradesh) with 93.87 per cent PLF, while Singareni thermal power plant stood 5th with 91.74 per cent PLF.
In a statement, SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar congratulated the employees and officials for supplying power to meet the power needs of Telangana State by achieving maximum PLF.
He called up on all the employees to work in the same zeal to achieve number 1 position in the country.

Church issue : Kerala HC Judge receives death threat
