Singhdeo regrets unfulfilled poll promises

Raipur, Jul 1 (UNI) Panchayat and Health Minister in the state TS Singhdeo on Wednesday regretted the non-fulfilment of promises made in the election manifesto of Congress to the unemployed during the Assembly elections, saying that he was feeling disappointed and ashamed for this.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the senior Congress leader in Chhattisgarh posted, ''I am feeling disappointed and ashamed at the plight of all unemployed 'shiksha karmis,' students, motivators and other youth. I am firm on what I promised you through manifesto. I am hoping that the government is making efforts. We are with you and will be with you.''
Mr Singhdeo, who was heading the manifesto committee of Congress, had made a prolonged effort for constituting this committee. The promises made in this manifesto are believed to have played a very important role in the return of Congress to power in the state after 15 years.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said the gang is involved in multiple heinous crimes such as murder, threats, extortion, ransom, and many other criminal activities in many districts of Punjab.
