Singareni Collieries sets a target of 270 lakh of coal production in remaining 4-months

Hyderabad, Dec 1 (UNI) The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has set a target of 270 lakh tonnes of coal output in the next 120 days.
At a review meeting conducted via video conference here on Wednesday with all area GMs, Directors S.Chandrashekhar (Operations), N.Balaram ( Projects and Planning) and D.Satyanarayana Rao (E&M), said that the coming 120 days are crucial and we should go ahead with a perfect plan to achieve the balance 270 lakh tonnes production.
Everyday 2.15 lakh tonnes of coal production and transport per day must be achieved and 14.4 lakh cubic meters of over burden must be removed. Coal transport must happen in 39 racks every day, they said.
Set a target of 2 lakh tonnes of overburden removal every day through company shovels, they said already all OB contracts, machines and permissions have been given to open cast mines and hence set targets must be achieved in coal production. Machine maintenance has to happen from time to time ensuring that there is no hindrance to production.
Speaking on this occasion, Executive Director (Coal movement) .J. Allwyn said that special focus should be there on the quality of coal.
GM (CDN, Marketing) .K.Suryanarayana said that since the coal prices are coming down in the global markets, special focus should be on quality to sustain in the market.
Steps to be taken to ensure that new companies, who got new contracts should take up overburden removal immediately, he added..
The Directors informed that Singareni Collieries in the first 8-months ending in November in the financial year achieved good growth compared to the corresponding period in previous year.
