Singapore, Apr 9 (UNI) Indian shuttlers Parupalli Kashyap and Mugdha Agrey won their qualification matches in the men's and women's singles respectively progressing to Main Round of the Singapore Open Badminton here on Tuesday.
Kashyap easily won the first game against Malaysia's June Wei Cheam in the first round of the qualifiers but June Wei bounced back and won the second while in decider the Indian shuttler had to sweat hard as the game finished on a close note in 54 minutes.
In the second round too Kashyap had a tough task against Japan’s Yu Igarashi, but eased through to main draw to win 15-21, 21-16, 22-20 in 59 minutes.
