Sydney, Jun 6 (UNI) India's PV Sindhu lost to Thailand's Nitchaon Jindapol in the second round, crashing out of the USD 150,000 Australian Open World Tour Super 300 tournament, here on Thursday.
This led to the end of the Indian challenge in the cash-rich tournament. Earlier, in the second round of men's singles, India's sixth-seeded Sameer Verma, B Sai Praneeth and 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist Parupalli Kashyap had lost to their respective oppnents, while men's double pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty also crashed out of the tournament.
The world number fifth Sindhu failed to overpower the 29th ranked Nitchaon Jindapol. The Thailand player defeated Sindhu 19-21,18-21 in 49 minutes.
