Mysuru, Jul 9 (UNI) Condemning the decision of the HRD Ministry to exclude chapters on Citizenship, Secularism and Federalism from the CBSE syllabus, former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday claimed that the BJP doesn’t believe in these principles.
His remarks came after the CBSE notified the new syllabus for classes 9 to 12 for the 2020-21 academic year reducing 30 per cent of the curriculum.
'Chapters on Citizenship, Secularism & Federalism are dropped from Class 11 Pol Sc. syllabus. Does this explain something? Yes, it explains that BJP doesn’t believe in these principles & validates its past behaviour. Stop Saffronisation of Education,' Mr Siddaramaiah tweeted.
