Shyam Singh conducts trial run of TCAS

Hyderabad, Apr 7 (UNI) Mr Ghan Shyam Singh, Member Traction, Railway Board on Saturday conducted the trial run of Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) on Lingampalli – Vikarabad section.
Later, speaking at review meeting, Mr Singh complemented South Central Railway for showing excellence in all the spheres of activity during the financial year 2017-18. He appreciated the efforts of South Central Railway in achieving a record 608 kilometers of electrification, which was highest on Indian Railways.
He stated that Electric Traction was going to change the train operations and the future of Indian Railways. Electric Traction will lower the fuel bill of Indian Railways which is swelling with the higher Diesel prices. The synergy extended by the South Central Railway in the sphere of Electric Traction has become a challenge for others.
