Shure launches its first software development centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 5 (UNI) Shure Incorporated, a US-based global market leader in microphones and audio electronics, has expanded its presence in India by establishing a new facility in Hyderabad, Telangana.

This is the second Shure facility in India, after the company opened a sales and marketing office in Bangalore in 2018.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Avinash Vaidya, Shure Executive Vice President of Product Development and Chief Technology Officer said that the new Hyderabad location marks the fifth global Shure Engineering Center dedicated to product development and software excellence, joining Copenhagen, Denmark, Edinburgh, Scotland, Niles, Illinois, USA, and Suzhou, China.

The Hyderabad Engineering Center measuring 14,000 square feet would focus on software design, development, and quality testing for products across Shure’s vertical businesses worldwide, he said and added that Hyderabad engineers would be involved with processes and applications to support, develop, and enhance Shure product innovation.

Mr Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments of the Telangana government who inaugurated the facility congratulated Shure authority for opening its first facility in Hyderabad and assured that the state government would extend all help to them.

He stated that the Hyderabad was very old and very established city. It has best ecosystem and offering best incentives. Telangana also best destination for doing business. Even China was looking India for electronics manufacturing, Ranjan said and suggested Shure to chose its next electronics manufacturing destination in Hyderabad.

Replying to a question, Dr Avinas said that at present 70 engineers working in the Hyderabad facility. It would be increased to double in a couple of years, he added.

Shure President and CEO Christine Schyvinck, Griffin - VP, Operations, Robin Hamerlinck - Sr VP, IT and CIO, Paul Applebaum - Executive VP GLS, HR & General Counsel and among others were participated in the programme.
