Kolhapur, Jan 31 (UNI) Two academics in the Chemistry department of Shivaji University, Kolhapur were granted with patent for their work on anti-breast cancer drug molecules.
Dr Prakash Bansode, a PhD student, has been researching on "Synthetic studies in new anti-Cancer therapeutics" under the guidance of his research supervisor Dr Gajanan Rashivade at SU. He has synthesized several drug lead molecules active against a variety of cancers during his PhD work.
These two academicians have been granted with an Indian Patent on "Ferrocene labelled N-heterocyclic carbene complexes of silver gold and platinum."
