Shiv Swaraj Party chief residence in Aurangabad vandalised

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 17 (UNI) Shiv Swaraj Party chief and former Shiv Sena MLA Harshwardhan Jadhav's residence in city was reportedly vandalised by unidentified persons.
Jadhav alleged that the attack took place over his some objectionable remarks against Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray at an election rally in Kannad, which has gone viral on social media later.
Late Wednesday night, some unidentified persons pelted stones and damaged a car and some window panes, police said.
At the time of incident, Mr Jadhav's wife and two sons were in the house.
Following the attack, Mr Jadhav, who is the son-in-law of Union Minister Raosaheb Danve, alleged that Shiv Sena workers were involved in this attack, however Sena district chief Ambadas Danve refuted the charges.
Mr Jadhav later explained that he had made the objectionable remarks in the flow of his speech during election campaigning and that attacking his house in his absence was a reaction to the Sena's defeat from Aurangabad in the Lok Sabha polls.
He is contesting the October 21 assembly polls as an Independent from Kannad constituency in Aurangabad and while addressing a rally on Wednesday he had allegedly made some objectionable comments against Mr Thackeray over induction of former Congress district chief and Sillod MLA Abdul Sattar into the Sena, who is now contesting this election on a Sena ticket, they added.
After the news went viral on media, the Sena workers registered a cross-complaint against Mr Jadhav at different police stations here.
