Shiv Sena opposes NDA candidate for President's post

Shiv Sena opposes NDA candidate for President's post

Mumbai, Jun 19 (UNI) The Shiv Sena is all set to take on its ally BJP in the upcoming Presidential election opposing the candidature of Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind, charging that his name has been proposed in view of the Scheduled Caste vote bank. Speaking at a function held to mark 51st anniversary of the party here, Sena president Uddhav Thackeray said that his party would support a candidate for President's post who was not the result of the petty caste politics. This is the third time in a row that Sena has opposed the NDA candidate for the top post in the country. Earlier, it had opposed the alliance candidates in 2007 and 2012. UNI JM SS HK SNU 2306
